IDeaS G3 RMS Certified User

Designed for individuals who wish to showcase their knowledge of IDeaS G3 RMS, this certification exam tests the candidate’s ability to apply the essential skills necessary to set up, manage and optimize revenue with IDeaS G3 RMS.

The ideal candidate is a primary user of IDeaS G3 RMS with at least 6-12 months of practical system experience. Candidates for this certification typically possess this essential knowledge:

  • How to optimize system setup and maintain alignment with current business practices
  • The revenue optimization cycle and their role in interacting with the system
  • How the system interacts with other software in their technology stack
  • How to explain and justify system decisions to business stakeholders
  • How to utilize system data for organizational profit and revenue strategy
  • How to appropriately influence the system to maximize revenue (e.g., overrides, special events, inputs vs. outputs, knowing when to adjust setup, etc.)

Candidates who pass the exam will be awarded an IDeaS G3 RMS Certified User credential with a verifiable digital badge and certificate to prove it. IDeaS Certified Users may also opt to be included in the SAS Global Certified Professional Directory.

Q: What credentials and exams are offered?

Q: What are the exams like?
A:

Each exam challenges candidates to apply specific knowledge they have acquired through IDeaS software training and job experience. IDeaS exams were developed in cooperation with the SAS Global Certification Program and are scheduled online through Pearson VUE, a global, third-party testing facilitator. Computer-based in format, IDeaS exams comprise multiple-choice and short-answer questions.
Candidates are allotted varying time limits to complete the exam, depending on which exam is taken. Specific exam content, passing criteria and instructions for getting started are located on the IDeaS Discover learning platform.

Q: How do I prepare for an exam?
A:

Most of what you need to know you’ve already learned by completing your initial IDeaS training, using IDeaS software regularly and accessing product Help and Show Me. To help candidates further prepare, IDeaS has developed a list of continued education courses and sample questions available in the IDeaS Discover learning platform. You may also take an optional practice exam for just $25 USD. For specific information on the self-preparation options, log into your Discover account.

Q: Can I retake the exam if needed?
A:

Candidates may attempt each certification 5 times in a 12-month period, waiting a minimum of 14 days between attempts. Exam charges are incurred for each exam attempt. Exams that do not comply with this retake policy will be considered invalid and will not be eligible for refund and/or a certification credential.

Q: Where do I download my certificate and badge?
A:

After you earn your credential, your badge and certificate will be available in the SAS Certification Manager. Candidates will receive an email containing information on accessing this system. If you have not received your email within one week from the date you earned your credential, please contact certification@sas.com.

Q: If I pass the exam, will my name be included in a public directory of certified users?
A:

You may opt in to be included in the online SAS Global Certified Professional Directory by updating your personal information within your account in the SAS Certification Manager system. The IDeaS/SAS Global Certification Program adheres to privacy laws and cannot release any information about an individual to a third party.

Q: Do IDeaS certifications and credentials expire?
A:

No. Once you’ve earned certification your credential will remain valid.
